Joel Fuhrman M.D. is a board–certified family physician, author and nutritional researcher who specializes in preventing and reversing disease through nutritional and natural methods. His private practice is located in Flemington, New Jersey.

Dr. Fuhrman is the author of Eat to Live, published in 2003 (Little Brown) and has gone through over 20 printings and been published in multiple foreign language editions. Dr. Fuhrman’s first book, Fasting and Eating for Health was published in 1995 by St. Martin’s Press. Dr. Fuhrman’s most recent book, published in 2008, Eat For Health (a two volume set) is still in hard cover as has been acclaimed by corporations using it to reduce health care costs.

Dr. Fuhrman is actively involved in scientific research in human nutrition and has two research articles pending publication and others in the trial stages.  

Dr. Fuhrman is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and has received the St. Joseph’s Family Practice Resident’s Teaching Award for his contribution to the education of residents. In addition, Dr. Fuhrman provides nutritional education to other physicians for CME credit, his lectures have been approved for physician continuing education via the American Academy of Family Physicians and many doctors of all specialties have attended his conferences.
